When trying to get your life together, everyone has their little tips and tricks to get the job done. They talk about having visions and taking action immediately, but they often leave out a crucial element in the equation.
That element is aggression.
If you’re feeling a little sluggish from the daily grind and you find yourself unable to keep churning out premium content, you have to try getting aggressive.
After implementing a little aggression into my routine, I’ve found that my energy levels skyrocket.
Stop beating off
A big part of aggression is not wasting your male vitality every day into some fucking napkin. There’s numerous reasons to cut out watching porn and jerking it, but chief among them is to keep your precious aggression.
Cut that shit out for a week and watch what happens. After a week your natural childhood aggression returns and gives you a natural reservoir of energy with which to do stuff you couldn’t dream of before.
Go back to when you were a child. Running around every day, natural energy that seems limitless. The will to do anything that comes to mind.
The lack of energy is sometimes associated with getting older, but perhaps it’s from years and years of wasting your vitality through jerking it.
Give your body time to recover it’s natural energy levels.
Cold Showers
A lot has been said of taking cold showers. I’ve written about it before.
What’s not mentioned about cold showers is the bare bones benefit of waking the fuck up in the morning, and getting a serious jolt of aggression.
You don’t even need to take a traditional cold shower for this to work. A lot of the time I just take a normal shower, then turn it to cold at the end for a minute to two minute blast of cold water.
That initial shock of cold water is enough to make me yell out loud with rage. I know it’s coming, but it amps me up so much every time.
I’ve told many people about the positives of using cold water to hype yourself up and literally everyone I talked to about it has balked at my idea. Yet, none of them have actually tried it because showers are somehow sacred.
Think of taking a cold shower of something that will sting, but ultimately make you stronger. After the cold water hits, it only takes a second or two for your body to get used to it. You can feel the energy surging after those two seconds.
Heavy Bag Work
The other day I went to the gym and was stretching in the classes area that also has heavy bags. I see a guy come in with a gut that looks out of shape.
I didn’t think much of this guy. Took one look and dismissed him as just some schlub who is trying to get back in shape.
After my workout, I went back into the classes room to do a post workout stretch. This guy was still in there but he was covered in sweat and had boxing gloves on.
I see him square up to the heavy bag and start to go to work.
This guy had incredible power and speed. He was destroying the bag with fast combos and leg kicks. He was making the bag fly.
It made me think about how you can’t judge a book by it’s cover, and you never know out there who is a savage killer. It could easily be someone you would never think.
I was reminded how I felt after doing sparring back in the day. I’d get home on Friday nights with such energy and a general feeling of being able to take anyone on.
You would think that punching the shit out of a bag would get rid of aggression, but I found that whenever I was doing bag work or sparring, I would be more aggressive at the end.
Build your aggression with some good heavy bag work and you’ll find yourself not exhausted after the workout, but filled with even more energy than before!
Use your aggression
When you have a limitless source of energy, it’s easy to let that energy go in the wrong direction. You’ll find yourself getting angry at people or behaving wildly in certain scenarios.
Don’t let this happen to yourself. Take that energy and focus it into some project your are working on.
Now that you’re mad, let the anger and aggression fuel whatever it was that you were having trouble getting done before. You’d be surprised how many seemingly menial tasks you can hammer out when you have rage in your heart.
You know that you have to do some tasks that require some work, and when you don’t have the normal willpower, don’t go looking for a short burst of motivation from some youtube video.
Instead, build your aggression every day and blast your to do list to death.
